#MeetTheClearCrewMondays: Carey Abma, Estate Solutions Evangelist

Who you are:

Graduated from University of Waterloo in 2005 with an Honours Arts & Business degree, majoring in Social Development Studies. Not knowing what I wanted to do, jumped from job to job trying to find my passion. I ended up falling into the Estate & Trust industry by way of a temp position while looking for my next career move. Needless to say, my search ended there! I landed a full-time position and immediately started taking courses to obtain my Certificate of Estate & Trust Administration (CETA) followed by my Trust & Estate Practitioner Designation with STEP and found my real niche as a Trust Officer which I did for 5 years before taking the ClearEstate leap just over a year ago!

What you do at ClearEstate:

In my role as Estate Solutions Evangelist, I get my hands in all sorts of things including the onboarding of our Estate Professionals, liaising with the Product team to make sure improvements and new releases will resonate with internal and external stakeholders, the management of our external partner relationships, and last but not least, leading our team of amazing Junior Estate Professionals who provide administrative and research support to the Operation & Product teams.

Fun fact about yourself:

I am about to embark on a new journey as a single mom by choice and can't wait to experience both the challenges and richness it will bring. I am hoping that working for the last year at a startup has prepared me in some ways!
